Enrolment
Programme membership conditions

Contents
1. Admission
Admission takes place in three steps:
- Application, free and online, through the application form.
- Selection interview with the admissions team, on a slot booked by the applicant.
- Decision sent by email. If the application is accepted, the applicant receives the link to their payment page.
Places in each cohort are limited. An application may be put on a waiting list and accepted later if a place becomes available.
2. Programme fees
The fees for each programme are shown on its page and repeated in the acceptance email. As of the update date of these conditions:
- Ethos Academy: 261,727 FCFA, or 60,727 FCFA for a scholarship recipient.
- Ethos Campus: 130,535 FCFA, or 30,535 FCFA for a scholarship recipient.
The fees cover the programme support: sessions, mentoring, missions and evaluations, access to the member area, the certificate for learners who meet the conditions, and access to the Alumni community. They do not cover the learner's equipment (phone or computer), internet connection or travel to in-person sessions.
3. Payment and enrolment confirmation
Payment is made only on the site's official payment page, by Mobile Money or bank card depending on the methods offered. Fees are paid in full before the programme starts.
Any transaction fees charged by the payer's operator or bank are added to the amount paid and remain the payer's responsibility.
Enrolment is only confirmed once payment is received. Until then, the place is not guaranteed and may be given to an applicant on the waiting list. A receipt is emailed after each payment, and the member area is opened once enrolment is confirmed.
4. Scholarship recipients
A scholarship recipient pays the remaining fees and commits to completing the whole programme. A recipient who drops out without a legitimate reason accepted by Ethos becomes liable for the amount of the scholarship granted. The other conditions are on the scholarship page.
5. How the programme runs
Programmes are hybrid: most sessions take place online, followed closely by mentors, and a few take place in person. A phone and an internet connection are enough to follow the online sessions.
The schedule, times and location of in-person sessions are shared with the cohort. Ethos may adapt the programme, the order of sessions or the speakers to ensure quality, without reducing its content.
6. Attendance and commitment
The learner agrees to:
- attend online and in-person sessions, and inform the team of any absence;
- complete and submit their missions on time;
- take an active part in cohort discussions and follow-up meetings with their mentors;
- follow the code of conduct set out in the Terms of use.
Repeated unjustified absences or a persistent lack of involvement may lead to a warning, then exclusion from the programme without refund.
7. Certificate
The Ethos certificate is issued to learners who meet both of the following conditions:
- reach the minimum number of points set for the programme, based on submitted missions, evaluations and participation; the scale is shared at the start of the programme and points are visible in the member area;
- present and pass their final project.
A learner who does not meet these conditions does not receive a certificate but keeps access to the Alumni community. The certificate is personal and its authenticity can be verified with Ethos.
8. Deferral to another cohort
A learner who can no longer follow their programme may ask to continue or restart it with the next cohort, provided they discuss it with the admissions team beforehand, before they stop attending. Deferral is granted by Ethos depending on the situation and available places. Fees already paid are carried over to the new cohort.
A learner who stops attending without the admissions team's agreement is considered to have dropped out.
9. Refunds
Programme fees are non-refundable, including in case of withdrawal before the start or dropping out during the programme.
As an exception, a refund may be granted if both of the following conditions are met:
- the learner has diligently followed at least 4 of the 8 weeks of the programme: attendance at sessions and missions submitted during those weeks;
- they are not satisfied with the quality of the support provided, and show it with supporting evidence (precise, verifiable elements about the sessions, follow-up or content).
The request is sent in writing to the admissions team at ethosepb@gmail.com, with the supporting evidence. Ethos reviews it, may talk with the learner and their mentors, then sends its decision in writing. The refund covers the programme fees actually received by Ethos, excluding the operator's transaction fees. It ends participation in the programme and does not give the right to the certificate.
10. Exclusion
Ethos may exclude a learner for a serious breach of the code of conduct, fraud (false statement, plagiarism, account sharing) or repeated absences despite a warning. Except in an emergency, the learner is informed of the facts and can explain themselves before the decision. Exclusion does not give rise to any refund.
11. Postponement or cancellation by Ethos
If Ethos had to postpone the start of a cohort, enrolled learners are informed as early as possible and can join the cohort on the new date. If Ethos had to cancel a cohort, the learners concerned can choose between enrolling in the next cohort and a refund of the fees received.
12. Alumni community
At the end of the programme, the learner joins the Ethos Alumni community: alumni network, events, and opportunities shared by Ethos and its partners. Access remains subject to the code of conduct.
13. Acceptance
By ticking the box in the application form, the applicant acknowledges having read these conditions. Paying the programme fees constitutes acceptance of these conditions for the cohort concerned.
